Nia & Bruce's Real Wedding

Nia & Bruce's Real Wedding - The Wedding Venue

The Wedding Venue

Nia and Bruce had a church ceremony at 11:30am on July 10th, 2010 with 70 of their closest friends and family members.  Their ceremony, at St Tegai’s church, was beautiful and the well known Welsh hymn Calon Ian was played as well as the classic, All Things Bright and Beautiful.

For their wedding reception Nia and Bruce opted for a relaxed style country house, overlooking the Conwy Valley. Plas Maenan Country House, near Llanrwst was not the only wedding venue that the couple visited during their wedding planning, but it was where they felt the most comfortable.  They chose a red colour scheme to match Bruce’s family tartan and the staff at the venue were extremely helpful when it came to answering questions and making Nia and Bruce look forward to their special day.  Bruce was tempted to serve haggis for their wedding breakfast, but seeing as it was a summer wedding they decided to go for something a little lighter; much to Nia’s relief.
