In their search to find the perfect wedding reception venue, Natalie and Russell visited over 50 different places including Highclere Castle, as seen on Downton Abbey. However, one of the places they visited – the 49th venue to be exact, was Wakehurst Place. They knew immediately that this was the venue for them.
They hosted their wedding breakfast here after their church ceremony with 60 guests, before a further 15 joined them for the evening reception. Guests were treated to a sit down meal with wedding cake for dessert, so they could guarantee everyone got to try some of their delicious cake.
Each table at the reception was named after something special to the bride and groom, and featured a picture of them holding the table name on a sheet of paper. Natalie has always been very creative, so she enjoyed making the seating plan and table names to share with her guests.
