Melissa and John’s wedding cake was a 3 tier fondant iced cake in the same ivory, pink and sage green colour scheme as the rest of the wedding. Melissa had seen an image of the cake in a magazine and took it to LoubyLous in Brighton who managed to make it look identical. Each tier had a different filling, consisting of Madeira sponge with cream, lemon sponge with lemon cream and the biggest layer was chocolate fudge. The wedding cake was cut and offered around during the evening reception but Melissa and John managed to take quite a bit of the cake home with them to then hand deliver to friends who were unable to attend the wedding.
The newlywed couple danced their first dance to ‘Years from Now’ by Dr Hook and had a beautiful wedding day by pretty much sticking to their budget. They will treasure the memories of their wedding day forever, despite the rain, and look forward to planning their official honeymoon in the near future.
