Megan walked down the aisle with her father, who she describes as an ‘ex-military toughie’. This didn’t stop him shedding a tear, as he’s a softie when it comes to his three daughters. As a surprise for Mark, Megan asked the string quartet to play ‘I Don’t Wanna Miss A Thing’, from his favourite movie Armageddon, as she walked down the aisle.
She carried a beautiful bouquet of orange cala lilies, red roses and green carnations, arranged by her former employers, R&M Supplies. This bouquet is now preserved and framed in the couple’s living room!
The bride’s sisters read ‘I Carry Your Heart’ by E. E. Cummings, and her mother read out a poem she’d written especially for the occasion.
Megan and Mark made their ceremony even more personal by writing their own vows. Mark isn’t much of a talker so it meant so much to Megan to hear his personal vows – there wasn’t a dry eye in the house!
