Meg & Lee’s Real Wedding

Lee and Meg met just as Meg had decided to quit her job and head home to Australia after a summer of fun in the UK. The move got pushed back to Christmas, then Easter, before she decided to change it to a visit home before coming back to the UK to be with Lee for good! He went to visit her in Australia and proposed on his last day of the trip.

Happily Ever After

Meg and Lee’s wedding included lots of cool touches, including all of their DIY details and large, light up ‘I Do’ letters from Vowed & Amazed. Meg explains they saved a lot of money by doing DIY and involving family and friends, but warns that whilst it sometimes saves money to do it yourself, it can end up working out more expensive.

After their DIY day Lee and Meg jetted off to Paris for a mini-moon, but plan to visit Australia this year for their proper honeymoon. They are headed to Western Australia to the wine region of Margaret River and to an island off the coast called Rottnest Island, where they hope to spot an animal called the Quokka – it’s the only place in the world it can be found! It’s a fitting honeymoon choice for a couple who shared their first date at the zoo.

Whilst over there they will also attend the wedding of one of Meg’s bridesmaids, and will focus on soaking up lots of sunshine and enjoying the beautiful beaches.
