After a peaceful and romantic ceremony and signing the registry to ‘Nothing Else Matters’ by Metallica, newlyweds Jim and Martine invited their guests to join them for a fabulous speampunk themed wedding reception at the Kew Bridge Steam Museum in London.
Kew Bridge Steam Museum was transformed in to a steampunk world using professional atmospheric lighting, Victorian-themed flowers and Kentia palms, ribbon and organza, music from steampunk movie soundtracks and various actors in Victorian disguise - all to amuse and entertain reception guests upon their arrival. Martine and Jim also had one of the biggest steam engines in the world up and running in the Cornish hall for when guests arrived and 3 other steam engines in the Main Hall during the wedding breakfast.
Steam is silent, so it worked very well indeed with Jim and Martine’s guests! In the background the couple also played The Rock and Roll Wedding Collection CD, which is based on classic rock tunes played by a string quartet.
