Martine & Jim’s Real Wedding

Jim's work history meant that he grew to love the steampunk genre, so it made sence for him, and his fiance Martine, to base their quirky wedding around a steampunk theme. They chose an unusual wedding venue, placed unique steampunk themed lamps in the centre of each table and created 6 playlists of atmospheric music to accompany each and every part of their wonderfully themed wedding day.

Jim also spent time on the internet searching for an outfit to complement a steampunk wedding theme. He stumbled across a leather specialist called Impero who were randomly located in London, not far from where the couple live.

Over several months of discussion and speaking to Impero directly Jim decided to order a bespoke outfit for his big day. Impero were supplied with samples of material from Martine’s wedding dress so that they knew what colours to match the suit to, along with other elements that Jim wanted to incorporate in to his outfit such as a cane and steampunk style gun.  Jim’s outfit was completed with the addition of pewter buttons cast from the inside of a watch, bought from Treasure Cast in the U.S.

The rest of the grooms party hired suits from Moss Bros but added appropriate accessories to keep in theme with the steampunk wedding.
