The colour scheme of Marie and Barrie’s wedding was lavender and white, and the overall theme was vintage inspired, with lots of bunting. The couple encouraged each of their guests to bring a decorated piece of bunting with them, to make unique and interesting décor.
Marie spent months collecting mismatched china and crockery to create a vintage vibe, and ended up with 100 tea cups! The couple gave their guests champagne flutes as favours, customised with their names, and tied with tartan ribbon for the men, and lavender ribbon for the girls. Each guest also had a postcard with a personal message waiting for them at their seat.
The tables were decorated with jars of flowers and small hearts cut out from old love stories. Every other table also featured old encyclopedias wrapped in brown paper and squares of floral fabric.
