The Parisian theme was set off in tremendous style by the cake, which was a two tiered replica of the Eiffel tower, complete with a spectacular illuminated tower. It consisted of a chocolate tier and a sponge one and stood at six feet tall when it was placed on the table. It featured a miniature Chris and Lyndsey at the base of the cake, recreating that special proposal.
They opted not to serve the cake at the wedding, but instead hand delivered slices to their guests in the time following the wedding, as an opportunity to catch up and see their wedding photos. This idea also prolonged the exciting wedding celebration rather than keeping it to just one day or weekend.
The couple plan to book two weeks in Florida to enjoy sunshine, the theme parks and swimming with dolphins later in the year. A perfect way to begin married life!
