Lynda sent out wardrobe style pearlescent cream invitations, with pink inserts, wrapped with a dusky pink ribbon, from Pure Invitation.
The couple’s table plan was set out in a large oak frame with a cream background, with nine different tables featured. Once seated, the guests were served a delicious three course meal, consisting of tomato and red pepper soup to start, a main of chicken and haggis, and chocolate cheesecake for dessert.
Alastair and Lynda also had a post box, given to them by Lynda’s sister and maid of honour, Julie, as a gift. The handmade box featured the words ‘Mr & Mrs Short’ and the date and venue of their wedding. They had it on display at the reception so the guests could post their cards and well wishes to the couple inside.
