When it came to the wedding transport Lucy and Stephen hired a 1937 Rolls Royce from a local company, E&B Knight Wedding Cars. Eric, the chauffer, was great and was focused on making sure that the bride got to the church on time and that the couple afterwards had an amazing day – without worrying about anything. The car took the mother of the bride and bridesmaids to the church, and then came back to collect the bride and her father.
The wedding ceremony took place at St. Mary’s church in Horsham on September 15th, 2012 at 1.30pm. They’d always wanted a church wedding and Lucy’s dreams came true when she walked down the aisle to the sounds of ‘Here comes the bride’. Lucy’s bridesmaid Katherine did a reading from the Bible, and a friend from University, Sarah, read a Pam Ayres poem called ‘Yes I’ll Marry You My Dear’.
The couple exchanged wedding rings that they’d purchased from Whibleys in Horsham and kisses as they were pronounced husband and wife. After the service Eric then transported the newlywed couple over to Mannings Heath Golf Club.
