Lucy and Stephen bought all of the wedding decorations for their wedding themselves. White fairy lights, candles and twiggy hearts decorated the reception venue beautifully and they even had a wishing tree whereby guests could write their well wishes on a butterfly shaped notecard for the bride and groom to look at in the future.
The couple chose a traditional three course wedding breakfast for their guests which consisted of locally sourced smoked salmon to start with, followed by slow roasted beef with mustard mash and a chocolate tart with an orange sorbet for dessert. Later on in the evening a buffet was served along with a variety of cheeseboards for hungry guests.
The wedding breakfast was served upstairs in the venue, but the rest of the wedding party moved downstairs to the bar area – so all of the table decorations were moved, to save buying décor twice. The couple also had a post box featured at the reception which had been very cleverly made by Lucy’s mother and sister. L&S were placed on the front and featured pretty beads and diamante jewels.
