Lucy wanted to shop around and experience being a bride-to-be before she chose the perfect wedding gown. She tried on between 30 and 40 dresses, but ended up buying a gown that she’d see on the very first day of her shopping adventure. The gown Lucy chose was by Mark Lesley and was purchased from Crystal Brides in Horsham. Little feathers were sewn onto the dress where the bodice met the skirt and Lucy thought that this was truly unique; she fell in love with it.
When shopping for her engagement ring, the designer had a special offer whereby if you bought a ring, you could borrow a tiara for your wedding day worth £30,000 – so the couple took the jeweller up on his offer and Lucy wore the incredible head piece on her wedding day.
Lucy’s three bridesmaids wore dresses in a Cadbury purple shade from Girls of Elegance online. Their floaty dresses were teamed up with bright shoes, and they each carried pretty bouquets which complimented the bride and her own bouquet beautifully.
