After their music-filled church wedding, the guests were transported to the reception down the river Thames by boat. Their breath was taken away when they saw the huge, red and white striped, big top, which was pitched in the fields of the sports centre where Lucy’s dad works. Lucy and Adam wanted a large patch of land with a 24 hour license, so this worked out ideal as their wedding party could continue without a curfew.
They had an Airstream stage for bands to play on, and even had a tent called ‘Granny’s Front Room’, inspired by their favourite tent at a festival. The tent featured a piano anyone could play, comfy seating and lots of sloe gin! It was a great and relaxing alternative to the dance tent! The entertainment included bands, choirs and a DJ set from a friend – the party atmosphere and festival vibe was set when the police turned up because of the noise!
