Lorraine and Kevin met online and married four years later with a travel themed wedding at Bede House in June 2013. They celebrated with a total of 110 wedding guests during the day plus a further 30 guest during the evening, and spent their honeymoon enjoying sun, safari and romance in Kenya.
The Bride and Groom
As she reached her early 30s Lorraine never thought she’d be getting married, but she put all of her apprehensions when it came to online dating to the back of her mind and decided to give it a go! It worked, because she met Kevin and the couple hit it off straight away.
After a two and a half year relationship, Kevin instigated a holiday to Italy. Being half Italian Lorraine was excited to spend time with Kevin in Italy and the couple commenced their two week holiday in Rome, before making their way down the Amalfi Coast. According to Kevin, he had seen a picture of Sorrento with Mount Vesuvius in the background, which is where he wanted to propose, but he just couldn’t wait any longer and therefore popped the question over an Italian pepperoni pizza.
A sweet, but very sticky Haribo ring sealed the deal and the couple enjoyed the rest of their holiday eating gelato and looking forward to spending the rest of their lives together.
