As a wedding gift, Lindsay’s sister made the wonderful looking wedding cake that Lindsay and Steve cut shortly after their wedding breakfast. The traditional cake which was three tiers high and had a fruit filling. Sugar icing flowers were dotted around the edge of the cake and a purple ribbon was tied around each layer to add colour. The cake was cut and served on the evening buffet which consisted of bacon and sausage balms with potato wedges. The perfect feast to end a perfect day.
The newlywed couple spent the first few weeks of their marriage sunning themselves in Sri Lanka and the Maldives. Both destinations were completely new to Lindsay and Steve, which made their whole honeymoon even more exciting.
