The smitten couple opted for a travel theme as the focus for their reception décor, as they wanted to highlight all the holidays they’ve enjoyed together.
Laura and Carl gave their guests a glimpse of the theme from the very beginning by sending out luggage tag style invitations, made by Aarlotte Designs. Little keys and locks on ribbons were added to the invite as well as a passport inspired wedding stamp.
At the reception, all the tables were named after various destinations that the couple had travelled to and each favour was tailored to the table the guests were sat at.
There were mini Buddha statue favours for the Thailand table, argon oil candles for the Marrakech table and chocolate cigar favours for the Cuba table to name but a few!
The creative table centrepieces were made up of suitcases, globes and map covered books.
Even the wedding cake followed the theme! The three tiered treat was made by Sweetie Pies Boutique Bakery and consisted of two red velvet tiers and a lemon sponge one.
Passport stamps and the couple’s wedding stamp were printed onto the white icing to give a personal touch. The cute cake toppers even held mini maps and suitcases!
