Local cake designer Cupcakemama created a simple two-tier wedding cake for Laura and Ben to cut through. One tier was a lemon drizzle and the second was red velvet chocolate cake, encased in buttercream icing to give it a rustic feel. Laura commissioned a lady to make the seagull cake toppers.
The couple hired a band called the Phil Rostance Band who really got the party started. The newlyweds danced their first dance to ‘You’ve got the love’ by Florence and the Machine and throughout the night the DJ played songs that had been pre-requested by guests via their RSVP cards.
As a surprise, the bridesmaids and families all got together and surprised Laura and Ben with a honeymoon to Tenerife for the following week. They had an amazing time, but in order to keep their celebration going, they saved up and booked a dream honeymoon to the west coast of America. They started in Las Vegas and then drove to LA where they visited Malibu, Venice Beach, Santa Monica, Calabassas and the Hollywood sign, plus a few celebrities, making it the honeymoon of a lifetime!
