After becoming husband and wife, the couple and their guest were transferred to the Glendorgal Hotel in Newquay. The magnificently located cliff top hotel is set in several acres of its own private land and has some self-catering cottages, which allowed guests to make a little holiday of the whole wedding celebration. The hotel is very neutral in terms of its décor which is exactly what Laura had imagined for her day; she was able to put her personal touch on the whole venue.
As Laura is a graphic designer and illustrator by trade, she decided to make all of their fun, seaside themed accessories herself; from wedding invitations to the menus and all of the table decorations, including the wonderful table seating plan which featured names of local towns and places in Cornwall.
The reception tables were long and narrow and featured white table cloths with a wide hessian table runner to give them a rustic feel. Beach themed accessories in pale pink and blue completed the look.
