After trying on what felt like a million wedding dresses – 26 to be precise - Kitty decided to settle on a gown that she didn’t love, but thought ‘would do’. She’d gone to Mia Bridal in Carlisle with her mother-in-law to order her ‘ok’ wedding dress, but noticed a light shining down on the most beautiful dress she’d ever seen. The gown, by Benjamin Roberts, had just come into stock and Kitty asked the shop owner Sarah if she could possibly try it on. Kitty knew that this gown was absolutely perfect and she decided to order it then and there – completely forgetting about the gown she was seconds away from ordering.
Kitty’s ‘Something Old’ was a silver charm in the shape of a church that has been in her family for years; her ‘Something New’ was her shiny pair of Rainbow Couture wedding shoes; her ‘Something Borrowed’ was a pearl bracelet from my sister and her ‘Something Blue’ was her late Mum's sapphire and diamond engagement ring; a sentimental touch to keep her much loved mother close to her on her wedding day.
