Kim and Stuart said their vows in a church opposite the bride’s childhood home. Kim’s father walked her down the aisle to the sounds of a piece of music specially composed for the occasion. Eagle-eyed guests might have noticed the tiny crystal embellishment reading ‘I Do’ on the soles of Kim’s bridal shoes. They chose the hymn ‘Morning Has Broken’ to be sung during the ceremony but replaced the lyrics with the words ‘Welcome to a Wedding’ for a unique twist. Kim’s niece sang as they signed the register, and then the newlyweds travelled to the reception in a vintage Rolls Royce to meet their guests for canapés and welcome drinks.
The reception was held at Cooling Castle Barn, and the couple were joined by 145 guests for the evening party. The newlywed bride and groom were transported to Cooling Castle Barn shortly after their ceremony in a magnificent white Rolls Royce which had been hired from Classic Cars.
