The tables at Katie and Robert’s wedding reception were all named after tourist hotspots in New York City, as the couple both love the place. Rather than use name cards, Katie bought cinnamon cookies from Ikea and iced them with hearts. These doubled up as favours and name cards. Robert and Katie allowed their guests to choose where they sat at the allocated tables, as they didn’t want the rigidity of a table plan, which also saved some stress when they were planning!
The couple also printed out pictures of themselves during different stages in their lives and laid them out on the tables for their guests to look at during the meal. There was also a photo booth with lots of fun accessories for the guests to enjoy, and a vintage suitcase was left out for guests to place their cards and messages of congratulations in.
