Katie and Andrew chose to get married and host their wedding reception at the Mercure Dunkenhalgh Hotel & Spa in Lancashire, without looking at any other venues.
Before they got engaged they’d said that if they were to ever tie the knot that this was the venue they would choose. The 700 year old country manor had the perfect feel, and having their wedding around Christmas time meant that the venue was decorated with festive trees, decorations, lights and wreaths throughout.
As centrepieces purple church style candles stood inside clear hurricane lanterns, sat on a wreath of different coloured Christmas tree baubles. Battery powered fairy lights added a touch of sparkle to the top table. The wintry wedding stationery and table planner were all made by Lisa Jane and were designed to match the deep purple and silver colour scheme that dictated the rest of the day.
