Kathryn and Karl had asked Karl’s mum to bake cupcakes as she has years of cooking experience. They had a clear Perspex cake stand borrowed from Kathryn’s mum, and the very top cake was made by their talented friend Karen. She designed the cake so it looked like two books stacked on top of each other to match the table decorations. Kathryn managed to find cake toppers of a bride and groom sat down, so they perched them on the edge of the top book.
After dancing and jiving the night away to ‘Benny Lee & the Whistle Stop 5’ Kathryn and Karl said goodbye to their wedding guests. They then rented a cottage in Chipping Campden for a few warm and cosy days away from home as a mini-moon break. Kathryn and Karl are planning a bigger honeymoon to Canada for later in the year where they intend on hiring yet another campervan.
