Kathryn visited 4 bridalwear stores and tried on about 12 dresses, and a further 4 dresses in Monsoon. She also investigated having a dress made from scratch, but unfortunately there just wasn’t time. The 4th bridal shop Kathryn visited was a London branch of Berketex as they were having a sale. The dress Kathryn bought was by Julian and Adam and was white satin covered with a fine lace all over in a subtle, floral design. The upper body section of the dress had sparkly beading, which caught the light beautifully. However, it was Kathryn’s wedding shoes that were possibly the most unique aspect to her outfit. They were made by Irregular Choice and were purple with fabric flowers.
Karl walked into Moss Bros one Sunday afternoon and within 30 minutes had chosen his suit. Kathryn and Karl went in together and he tried on a few styles but in the end decided to hire the ‘Harrow’. This was a single breasted black jacket and black trousers with a fine pinstripe. His waistcoat was a very pale cream and silver, and the tie and handkerchief in the top pocket were purple.
