The place cards were simple luggage tags with the guest’s name written on by hand, tied to the napkins with white and green gingham ribbon. As each guest took their seat they found a tube of love heart sweets waiting for them, personalised with Katharine and Walker’s names and the date of their wedding.
The couple decorated the venue with bunting left over from Katharine’s hen weekend, which featured pictures of the newlyweds’ faces on each flag. They also had plain white bunting, white flowers and tea lights to decorate their reception. After dark they released lanterns up into the night sky to celebrate their marriage.
The guests received a sumptuous three course meal, and as they ate they were entertained by Stephen Devine, a pianist who created a relaxing atmosphere, before a live band took over for the evening entertainment.
