For their ceremony and wedding breakfast, Kate and Mark chose the beautiful Queens’ College in Cambridge, where they had met and made so many amazing friends. However for their evening event they chose to transport their guests to the Doubletree by Hilton in Cambridge.
As Kate is Jewish, the couple decided to have a mixed faith humanist blessing. They chose an amazing woman called Laura Miller to be their celebrant and by having the legal paperwork done a few days earlier - at a registry office in London - it meant that they could make the actual wedding ceremony exactly what they wanted. The couple were able to choose their own vows and readings, exchange rings, and include some elements of a Jewish ceremony like standing under the chupppah and stamping on glass. Being able to personalise their day meant that Kate and Mark had a totally unique experience, which was also fun for their friends and family to witness.
