Kate and Andrew grew up in Derbyshire and love both the landscape and the country side in this county. Shottle Hall, a Georgian Country House on the Chatsworth Estate is not only elegant, but it also has historic features inside mixed with modern touches. The setting of this venue with its wide open views across the countryside was too hard for the couple to resist.
The couple had an early afternoon ceremony to maximize daylight and were surrounded by 65 close members of their friends and family. After they were married, newlyweds Kate and Andrew shared a delicious wedding breakfast with their guests that consisted of butternut squash soup with coriander and chilli oil for their starter following by a duo of duck for the main course. All of the food was seasonal and locally-sourced.
