It was very important to the bride that seasonal flowers sourced in Britain were used throughout the day. Kate wanted everything to be ‘green’ but still look gorgeous. There aren’t many sustainable florists in Britain so Rachel from Catkin Flowers in Lincolnshire was a real find.
Floral centrepieces were made by Kate and Andrew and the couple sourced all the vintage glass vases and the cake stands they stood on from charity shops. Kate wanted everything to be environmentally-friendly. Instead of having a guest book, the couple decided to have a Wishing Tree with little cards for people to write messages on and hang on the tree. This is now a very special keepsake for the newlyweds.
