Karen & Stephen’s Real Wedding

Stephen and Karen met online, and they knew almost instantly they’d be together forever. After just eight weeks of dating, Stephen told Karen he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. After four years together, the couple became husband and wife during an emotional wedding cermeony celebrated with 70 members of their friends and family.

The Traditional Ceremony

Stephen and Karen said their vows and became husband and wife at 3pm in St Andrews Church in Hornchurch. The bride wore a gorgeous vintage style wedding dress with lots of intricate lace detailing. The dress featured a flowing train which trailed behind her as she walked down the aisle on the arm of her father to the traditional ‘Wedding March’.

Karen accessorised her beautiful dress with her mum’s watch, that her dad had bought for her when she was 15, and wore sandals with a lucky sixpence from 1948 glued to them, as that was the year her parents tied the knot.

Everyone sang hymns such as ‘The Lord of the Dance’, ‘Morning has Broken’ and ‘All Things Bright and Beautiful’ during the romantic service. After saying their vows, Karen and Stephen exchanged rings bought from Beaverbrooks.
