Jody & John’s Real Wedding

Jody and John wanted a very personal wedding, reflecting them as a couple; making the event relaxed and comfortable for all who attended. Wanting a white wedding, the couple bought a snow machine to make it just that. However, on the day, they woke to five inches of real snow making their dreams come true and started the day as it meant to go on…perfect…from start to finish.

The Dress & Flowers

Choosing the dress was a girly affair. Jody employed the support and advice from both mums and her best friend and Maid of Honour, Nicola. After trying on around 40 dresses, Jody fell in love with a stunning dress in Dan Kerr Brides of Preston. The strapless dress had a ten foot long train and a beautiful bustle decorated with exquisite embroidery and a full a-line skirt that enhanced Jody’s waistline and showed off her figure to the full.

With the ivory background of the dress, Jody chose a beautiful selection of red geraniums, small red orchids, ivy and ilex berry for her flowers. Fleurs de Lynn created the stunning bouquet which was tied together with a red tartan. The tartan was used in other parts of the wedding décor and with its warm colours, fitted perfectly with the season.

Jody did her own make up and had her regular hair dresser style her beautiful auburn hair, which she wore down.
