Jo and Neil met through an online dating site, and found true love. Within the space of two years they’d moved in together and had a son, Reuben. Just before their two year anniversary, Neil proposed whilst looking out at the beach in Cornwall.
The Happy Couple
After meeting on match.com in June 2009, Jo and Neil agreed to go for a quick coffee. It turned into a whole afternoon together, dinner and a kiss or two! Following this great start, the couple never looked back. They soon moved in together and started a family – baby Reuben was born three days before Christmas in 2010.
In May 2011, whilst on holiday in Cornwall, Neil asked Jo to become his wife. They were sitting on the beach at Constantine Bay, which is their favourite place, when he asked the big question, and presented Jo with her late mum’s engagement ring. On the way home from their holiday, Neil bought Jo a wedding magazine, and the planning began!
The bride to be knew straightaway what sort of wedding she wanted, and it wasn’t in a bridal magazine. The couple began planning a beautiful marquee wedding, which would take place in Jo’s dad’s English countryside garden, complete with cows!
