After their traditional church wedding ceremony, Jennifer and Robert chose to host their wedding reception at Burythorpe House in Malton. After seeing just a few venues, Jennifer and Robert fell in love with the Jane Austen feel to this particular country house hotel. The couple’s family and friends filled all of the hotel’s 12 bedrooms, as Jennifer and Robert had exclusive use of the venue throughout the day and night. Having stayed the night before, Jennifer, her mother, Aunt and three bridesmaids got ready at Burythorpe on the morning of the wedding.
Hired from Crest Cars in York, Jennifer arrived at their traditional church ceremony on time in an Ivory Beauford; a classic car which suited their vintage theme perfectly. A viola player played ‘She Moved Through The Fair’ - a favourite from Jennifer’s childhood - upon arrival, with Jennifer walking down the aisle on the arm of her father to the traditional bridal march. ‘Jerusalem’ and ‘Love divine’ were the chosen hymns, with Jennifer’s family and Robert’s brother doing the readings.
