In the evening a rustic buffet of cheese, crackers, ham, pork pies and chutney was served, followed by the mouth-watering wedding cake. Made by Jennifer’s Aunt, a luxurious, traditional five tier chocolate-coated rose cake was served, complete with chocolate, orange sponge, coffee and chocolate Tiffin fillings. A small traditional fruit cake was also offered, to please everyone’s tastes.
Recommended by a friend, Jennifer and Robert hired a DJ for the evening entertainment. After dancing their first dance to Pixie Lowe’s ‘Someone Like You’ the newlyweds were joined by their guests on the dance floor, ready to party the night away before spending a luxurious two weeks on honeymoon in Mauritius.
Describing their beautiful autumn day as magical, Jennifer and Robert advise the key to a less stressful big day is to take a pre-wedding mini break together, banning all wedding planning paraphernalia and taking time to focus on each other.
