Jennifer and Robert chose Katherine Armstrong, freelance florist of Fleur Adamo, to design their big day blooms. Amnesia and cream roses were used throughout the wedding with the light shades contrasting beautifully with the darker aubergine hues of the bridesmaid dresses.
Accompanied by a harpist, the drinks reception comprised of delicious venison sausage roll canapés, prosecco with raspberries, larger for the boys and traditional lemonade to suit the vintage theme. While photographs were being taken, guests were entertained with vintage style question cards based on films- chosen due to Jennifer’s love of the movies.
Held in a marquee at the side of the house, the delectable three course wedding breakfast followed the reception and included crab cakes, chicken with tarragon and bacon followed by Apple Tartin. Following the fine cuisine, the groom’s speech had the wedding guests in uproar, as did the double act put on by Robert’s two best men.
