Jennifer originally wanted an A-line gown, with a sweetheart neckline. Her specific criteria for her dream wedding dress included ruching and minimal sparkle. She tried on so many that she lost count, and took a six month break in searching to give her some time out.
She found her dream wedding dress, designed by Phoenix Gowns, in a family-run bridal shop called Beautiful Dreamer. Although the strapless gown featured a considerable amount of sparkle, the bride-to-be knew it was the dress for her. Searching through the discussion forums on hitched.co.uk revealed that no one else had a dress by the same designer, and it was the first white version of the gown the shop had ever ordered in.
Jennifer treated herself to a pair of Dune shoes that she could wear again, and accessorised by wearing her grandmother’s pearl earrings.
