Jan & Gary's Real Wedding

Jan & Gary's Real Wedding - A Private Wedding Venue

A Private Wedding Venue

Jan and Gary decided to have a private wedding ceremony in the sculptured ruin of Armadale Castle on the Isle of Sky.  They walked up the steps of the castle ruin together on the 8th of June, 2011 and both read a small passage that Jan had composed by a song from the band Thunder entitled ‘loved walked in’, before exchanging rings.

Having just the two of them there meant that friends and family members weren’t present, but it gave the newlywed couple an excuse to throw a big party later in the year.  The couple decided to host their party at Dunnikier House Hotel in Kirkcaldy which is a gorgeous, and historic, manor house.  The hotel was local to Jan and Gary and is surrounded by beautiful parkland.  100 guests joined Jan and Gary in September, after having celebrated their wedding ceremony privately, earlier on in June.
