Jackie & Ian’s Real Wedding

After an eleven year engagement, Jackie and Ian happily celebrated their wedding in the beautiful scenic town of Oban. Their children helped them celebrate their day as well as each of them playing a very important part in it too. With a theme of red, roses and kilts, the couple completed their wedding celebrations with a Ceilidh and danced the night away with family and friends in the Argyllshire Gathering Halls, Argyll.

The Dress

Jackie first saw the wedding dress of her dreams not long after Ian proposed, however, knowing that they would have a long engagement; she decided not to buy early but look around closer to the time of the wedding.

Even though she did look at other dresses, Jackie didn’t feel any urge to try them on. Her mind kept coming back to the original dress she saw some years back.

To her delight, she managed to find it again! The dress was stunning with diamante embroidered detail around the bodice and skirt. A red satin ribbon fixed around the waist lead to a red satin panel in the back of the skirt. The detail continued through the tail of the skirt and delicately through the long veil. It was this distinctive detail and colour that Jackie fell in love with!

To add a personal touch, Jackie wore her grandmother’s ring.
