Alex and Hilary were assigned an events organiser called Sophie when they began planning their wedding on the SS Great Britain. Sophie recommended a florist called Emma Petersson, who had worked on the ship before. Hilary was delighted with Emma and felt that she was ideal for their wedding.
Hilary wanted blue and white flowers to match her colour scheme, and followed Emma’s advice when it came to choosing her wedding day flowers. She ended up with a stunning arrangement of flowers for her bouquet, the buttonholes and venue decor, including thistles, delphiniums, scabiosa, white dahlias, white avalanche roses and eucalyptus foliage.
The bride opted to keep the flowers on the tables to a minimum, so the ship’s fine glassware, plates and gas lanterns could stand out.
