Gillian & Mark’s Real Wedding

Gillian and Mark planned and organised a butterfly themed wedding in 16 months after their romantic and very personal engagement. They invited a total of 66 guests to witness their church ceremony followed by a further 64 guests to the evening reception. The couple had a budget of £10,000 and made sure that every detail of their wedding day was immaculate!

Wedding Reception Tables

Gillian and Mark were married at 11:30am on July 24th 2010. They had a church ceremony in Barnsley before heading over to Cubley Hall in Penistone for their reception.  Cubley Hall is an old country house which has been converted into a hotel and restaurant.  The couple chose this particular venue because of the grounds, setting, pavilion, and the price fitted perfectly with in their budget.

Someone told Gillian that butterflies represent new life, and seeing as this was the start of a new life together Gill thought that it would be lovely to have butterflies all around their reception.

Pink card butterflies were placed on the wine glasses as decorations, and the table napkins were set out in fans. They also put bubbles in the shape of champagne glasses on the tables and had tall centre piece flowers which were set on round mirrored plates. The tables all looked fantastic and were exactly how Gill had imagined them to be.
