Gemma and Ray’s wedding reception took place at a vintage style village hall, as they thought it would perfectly suit their wedding theme. It was a two minute walk to the venue from the church, so after the ceremony the newlyweds walked there with their guests.
Gemma took on the role of wedding planner and oversaw everything. She owns her own business, Maypole Vintage Crockery and Bunting Hire, so styling and organising her wedding didn’t faze her.
The couple hired Whitehead Catering to serve their wedding food, and opted for a two course meal consisting of carrot and coriander soup, followed by a roast beef dinner. Traditional Cornish cream tea followed the meal.
Guests found their places for the meal by consulting the table plan, which Gemma had made herself. The table names were inspired by Alice in Wonderland and she decorated the plan with gold butterflies.
