Gemma found the idea of choosing a wedding dress really daunting, and was worried about getting that ‘this is the one’ feeling.
She visited Confetti and Lace in Harrogate with her mum, and tried on a dress which she thought was going to be the one. However, it wasn’t meant to be. She then trusted the staff to bring her dresses to try on, and after trying around seven, she found Benjamin Roberts style 2058A in ivory.
She left the store to go for a coffee whilst she processed her feelings about the dress. Once she returned, she knew she’d found the one! The gorgeous gown featured lots of intricate detail and floating layers. It had a pretty floral belt which Gemma had adapted so it could be used as a shoulder strap for the evening.
The look was completed with Benjamin Adams shoes, a glittering headband and a brooch made from her two grandmothers’ engagement rings.
