Andy and Gemma became husband and wife in a traditional wedding ceremony at their local parish church, St Nicholas’s, in Stevenage. The bride walked down the aisle with her father, carrying a stunning teardrop bouquet made up from ivy, roses, orchids, calla lilies, eucalyptus, hypericum berries, long catkins and freesias in rich shades of orange and cream. The bouquet was created by Barnaby’s Florist, and after the wedding Gemma placed the blooms on her grandmother’s grave.
As she walked towards Andy, musicians Charlotte and Evangelina played ‘Ave Maria’. The wedding party sang hymns, and the bride’s mum and friend Jenni gave readings; one from the bible, and the other a Shakespearian sonnet.
The couple exchanged rings bought from H. Samuel and were pronounced husband and wife!
