Luckily for the bride, her mother is an amazing dress-maker so she was able to give her mum the special task of making her wedding dress. The design Gemma had in mind couldn’t be made to a standard pattern, so a friend who is a couture designer stepped in to help too.
The dress was amazing and made even more special by the fact it was created by those who knew the bride. Her mum even sewed the wedding date on to the hem in blue thread.
Gemma’s mum also created the bridesmaid dresses for the five bridesmaids, who consisted of Gemma’s best friend, her sister-in-law, her niece, her daughter and her step-daughter. The girls wore dresses in a range of autumnal shades, including chocolate brown, copper and champagne.
The bride’s look was completed with hair and makeup by Sarah Henning, who created a half-up, half-down style with cascading curls.
