The purple and ivory colour scheme was evident throughout the whole wedding, with the chairs having ivory seat covers tied with purple bows. It was also important to the couple that their family featured throughout their special day, and therefore their tables were named after various family members. They had tables named after each of their children (Steve, Paul, Keith, Victoria and Jasmine) and after their mothers as well, May and Dorothy (which was a tribute to Robin’s mum, who had passed away two years previously). This touching gesture was kept a secret from the guests, and it surprised and delighted them when they went to take their seats.
DJ James Veal from Premier Disco kept the party going and the dance floor full, and the couple shared their first dance to ‘I Loved You Before I Met You’ by Savage Garden. Gail also shared a dance with her father, to Slim Whitman’s China Doll.
