A friend of the couple’s made the four-tier wedding cake, which was adorned with a cake topper in the form of a miniature Barony Castle. Each tier was a different flavour to suit every taste: Madeira, carrot, lemon and chocolate. Purple thistles were placed around the cake, and a sword was used to cut it.
The cake was served with the buffet, and Gail described it as ‘amazing’, explaining that there was hardly any cake left by the end of the night.
Two days after their wedding, the newlywed couple jetted off on honeymoon to the Maldives and Dubai, for what they described as the best holiday they’ve ever had. They began married life relaxing in a luxury beach villa in a location they’d always wanted to visit, saying it was ‘truly amazing...just how a honeymoon should be!’
