Gail knew she’d found the dress for her when she saw the look on her mum’s face as she tried it on. “It was just ‘me’”, she explained. The bride-to-be tried on several different designs at Berketex Bride in Edinburgh before finding the perfect gown to walk down the aisle in. The dress, by Tom Flowers, had a traditional feel to it, with a decorated corset and full skirt. The style Gail opted for is called the ‘Rennee’ dress.
Gail’s gorgeous wedding dress was ivory, and that colour became instrumental in deciding the overall wedding colour scheme. Gail and Robin opted for a purple and ivory theme with the bridesmaid’s and groomsmen’s outfits reflecting on this.
Gail wore a double string of pearls and matching pearl earrings that used to belong to Robin’s mother, who unfortunately passed away two years before the couple married. She teamed her dress with a pair of high platform heels from Debenhams – a necessity for the diminutive 4’11 bride!
