Emma and Philip picked a white and gold wedding colour scheme as they wanted something classic and timeless that is traditionally associated with weddings.
The tables were decorated with tall glass vases, which were topped with circular flower arrangements, including white roses, lisianthus and gypsophila. They wanted to name the tables after their favourite rock bands, but decided against it to avoid having to explain to elderly relatives who Slipknot are!
Emma’s dad’s speech and Philip’s speech were really touching, and her parents had also commissioned a portrait of the two family crests and had it framed, which they surprised the newlyweds with on the day.
A sweet buffet and a DIY photo booth organised by the bride’s mum, consisting of disposable cameras and props, helped to entertain guests. There was also a DJ in the evening, who played the couple’s first dance song, ‘I Miss You’ by Blink 182.
