Emma & Philip’s Real Wedding

Emma and Philip were childhood sweethearts who met on a school trip. Philip proposed to Emma outside Cologne Cathedral in Germany after they’d been together for just over ten years. They married 20 months later in a church followed by a reception at Gosfield Hall.

The Church Wedding Ceremony

Emma arrived at her church wedding ceremony in a Rolls Royce Silver Cloud hired from Aristocars. It didn’t hit her that she was actually getting married until she got in the car with her dad.

Philip and Emma became husband and wife in a religious ceremony at St Catherine’s Church in Essex. The church organist played the traditional bridal march as Emma walked down the aisle with her dad. She was so nervous until she saw Philip and managed to get it together!

They had three readings during their service, including an extract from Charlotte Bronte’s ‘Jane Eyre’, where Mr Rochester says to Jane, “I have for the first time found what I can truly love – I have found you.”

Emma and Philip exchanged custom made wedding rings from Diamond Geezer. Emma’s was specially made to match her engagement ring, which featured a cushion cut diamond surrounded by pavé diamonds. Philip had one of their normal designs, but altered to be unique to him.
