Emma & James’s Real Wedding

Emma and James’ wedding ceremony took place in the fantastic Bellapais Abbey, Northern Cyprus. Keeping the service personal, they wrote their own ceremony and vows and lit a memorial candle to remember loved ones not with them on their day. Doing humorous and touching readings, James and his son Harry had the guests in tears! Later, the guests explored the historical abbey before sitting down to a delicious meal on the grounds of the venue.

The Bridesmaids

Emma chose her best friend to be her maid of honour and two very close friends for her bridesmaids. Her gorgeous flower girls were James’ daughter and Emma’s goddaughter.

Not finding the right colour or style anywhere, Emma had her bridal party’s dresses made. The ladies wore a light pistachio green sheer chiffon dress with ivory silk lining. The A-line dress came to below the knee and had a sash around the waist. The little ones wore pretty dusky pink layered dresses and looked adorable with their sparkly sandals! Colour, fabric and style of all the dresses were perfect for the hot Cyprus climate!

Emma made the wrist corsages for her ladies using pale pink flowers and pearl bracelets. Petals from the same flowers were added to Emma’s dress – a very nice touch! The pretty flower girls each had a gold wire heart filled with the same pink petals!
